<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In a very short time the wish of our<\/span><\/span> children<\/span> to interview the<\/span> Super-R<\/span>ock-Band TRANSATLANTIC<\/strong> came true<\/span>. Now<\/span> probably some readers<\/span> will ask<\/span> “<\/span>TRANSATLANTIC<\/strong>? –<\/span> Who is this?<\/span> – I’ve<\/span> never heard of<\/span> this group before<\/span>” <\/span>or “Why is this<\/span> a Super<\/span>-R<\/span>ock-Band?\u201d – The<\/span> commercial listeners<\/span> who consume<\/span> music<\/span> only on the radio or<\/span> on the well known TV<\/span> music channels do not<\/span> know this group<\/span>. But those who<\/span> are interested in music<\/span> or<\/span> even<\/span> play rock music themselves<\/span>, know this formation<\/span> very well, and<\/span> probably they will<\/span> be<\/span> very jealous now that<\/span> we<\/span> have organized for<\/span> our children<\/span> a personal meeting<\/span> with these four<\/span> exceptional<\/span> musicians<\/span> and instrumental<\/span> virtuosos<\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n But before we speak about our interview, we would first like to present to our readers these four musical geniuses, who founded a unique project called \u201cTRANSATLANTIC<\/strong>\u201d 14 years ago, and who developed themselves to an independent band during this time<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n TRANSATLANTIC<\/span><\/span><\/strong> are<\/span> from left to right<\/span>, the singer, keyboarder<\/span> and guitarist<\/span> Neal<\/span><\/strong> Morse<\/span> (ex<\/span> Spock<\/span>‘s Beard, Flying Colors<\/span>), the singer and guitarist<\/span> Roine<\/span> Stolt<\/span><\/strong> (<\/span>The Flower Kings, Agents of Mercy<\/span>), the bassist Pete<\/span> Trewavas<\/span><\/strong> (<\/span>Marillion, Edison’s Children )<\/span> and drummer<\/span> Mike<\/span> Portnoy<\/span><\/strong> (ex-<\/span>Dream Theater, Big Elf<\/span>, The Winery<\/span> Dogs<\/span> and much more.<\/span>)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Since the existence of \u201cTRANSATLANTIC<\/strong>\u201d in the last 14 years, these<\/span> four<\/span> workaholics<\/span> have composed and produced the nearly unbelievable number of 66 studio albums<\/strong>, counting together all their solo works and projects.<\/span><\/p>\n Additionally Mike Portnoy was awarded 12 years<\/strong> in succession (1995 \u2013 2006)<\/strong> as the best drummer in the world (!)<\/strong>. Normally each child or young person playing the drums completely engaged and full of passion would drop everything and leave it behind if it had the chance to meet this exceptional talent in person.<\/span><\/p>\n However, it seems that times and priorities of the people (society) have changed noticeably in the last two decades, as well and the band expresses these changes <\/span>again and again in their musical stories and hopeful lyrics. “Yes, we really do need a little bit MORE<\/strong> light to banish the sad darkness from our monotonous and extremely stressful everyday life, and we all should really light a candle to wash this darkness forever away.” That\u2019s the message of the song – We all need some light<\/b>.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n “Is it really happening<\/span><\/span>?<\/span><\/span> –<\/span> Is it really going to be<\/span>? \u2013<\/span> Is it really happening? – Is it,<\/span> what our<\/span> mind can see?<\/span> \u2013<\/span> Is it what our mind were meant to feast upon? …<\/span>” <\/span>These words from the text line<\/span> of the song “Is<\/b><\/span> it really<\/span> happening<\/span>!“<\/span><\/b> expressed<\/span> exactly our feeling<\/span> at the moment<\/span> when we gave the<\/span> tour manager<\/span> Randy<\/span> <\/strong>George<\/strong> the bad news (that made us want to cry) that we<\/span> came with two children only<\/span> instead<\/span> of six to the interview. \u201cOh, yes,<\/span> on the dark<\/span> side of life<\/span>, there are really very<\/span> many<\/span> times of suffering<\/span>, but when the tide turns<\/span>, then<\/span> perhaps we will<\/span> learn from all of<\/span> these things<\/span>!” This is the great desire<\/span> of the four<\/span> musicians<\/span> in the song “<\/span>Rose Colored Glasses<\/span><\/strong>“ from the<\/span> previous album<\/span> “The<\/strong><\/span> Whirlewind<\/span><\/strong>“.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n But these four personalities of strong character know exactly how things look for the interests of the general population, as well as the gratitude and appreciation for the good in our world, <\/span>or how much work it must have been for German children, to prepare and rehearse specific questions for an interview in English, and so it was absolutely natural for them to give to our two boys an exclusive interview about their long-time career and their new album.<\/span><\/p>\n![\"Kids](\"http:\/\/animus-klub.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Kids-Transatlantic.jpg\")
<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>Their latest album “<\/span>Kaleidoscope<\/strong>” was highly praised<\/span> by all<\/span> renowned<\/span> music magazines<\/span>, and was elected rightfully<\/span> in January by the editors<\/span> of the<\/span> “<\/span>eclipsed” music magazine<\/span> as album of the month<\/span>. Correspondingly high<\/span> the album was placed<\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> German charts<\/span>, and climbed<\/span> up<\/span> to No 6<\/strong><\/span> in the first week of its release, and in England<\/span> even reached<\/span> No 4.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/a>But not only the times but also people\u2019s life or rather their interests for the important values of life have changed considerably. Nowadays many of the creative and aesthetic intellectual areas, such as “history, art, culture, literature, painting, drama, theater or music<\/strong>\u201d seem rather meaningless. Even the most remarkable and world best of these genres become worthless in the meaningless and undemanding awareness of the modern “Press-One-Button-Society”, with the immediate consequence that the emotional heart of the home of many families today is often just as black as the sky at night – Black as the sky<\/b>. So it was the first time that we went to a concert, accompanied by deep concern and the painful truth that some parents forbidden <\/a>their children to participate at this fantastic project, and robbed them of the unique opportunity to get to know these four extraordinary characters. <\/span><\/p>\nINTERVIEW <\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n
